Over-Wintered 5 Frame Nuc MEDIUM
Overwintered nucleus colonies are available for reserve! It is recommended that you reserve, as we do have a limited supply.
Nucs must be picked up in Barboursville, VA. Shipping is not available. Apiary address will be provided along with pick up date via e-mail 1 – 2 weeks prior to pick up.
When the nuc is ready the customer will be contacted, and we will arrange by appointment only.
Over-wintered nucs will contain a marked laying queen, five MEDIUM frames, one frame of honey/pollen, at least three frames of brood in various stages, and one frame of drawn comb for them to work. Queen will be in nuc and laying for at least 3 weeks before pickup so that the queen’s performance can be evaluated. This ensures that you are getting a good quality queen with lots of bees to get you started.
We pride ourselves in raising healthy, quality honey bees. We select for gentleness, hygienic behavior traits, and from VSH stock. Your nuc will be packed with bees and ready to install in your equipment immediately.
Price is $230.00 + tax. A non-refundable deposit $100.00 deposit is required to reserve nuc(s).
The balance of $130.00 + tax is due upon pickup.
