Beekeeping Classes
Beekeeping is a fascinating and rewarding hobby. Just like that homegrown tomato you picked out of your garden, there is nothing like harvesting your own honey. However, there is also a steep learning curve in beekeeping. We’ve all gone through it, and it will take time. Having a mentor, or taking a couple of good classes can certainly help you in mitigating mistakes. Because there are many different variables in beekeeping and many different practices, it may seem overwhelming and confusing to “newbees”.
A Season of Beekeeping offers a set of courses that are designed to break down what a typical season may entail into small, digestible segments. My goal is to take you under my wing, make it less confusing, while showing you best practices, and the different options that are at your disposal.
With the exception of the April class, these courses are not just for brand spanking new beekeepers. If you’ve been keeping bees a couple-few years and are looking to round out your knowledge, or if you struggle with over-wintering your bees, you may find the other courses offered here useful in sharpening up your beekeeping skill set.
